August 16 - Hays

My head is messed up again.

One shift to go.

And just a reminder:

Never book with Hays Travel.

You'll end up with vouchers instead of tickets.

Hotels you didn't want because the other was "twice the price" yet after pricing yourself you find the one you wanted was actually cheaper.

You'll be told to throw away receipts and not declare/pay tax on anything to buy on holiday.

You'll have to correct them on third suitcase prices, that or you'll have a heart attack when they tell you they actually quoted half of the actual cost.

You'll have to work with the airline because they'll give you the wrong info a lot, including the wrong flight number.

More on this when I return from my trip.

Unless, maybe unless, i'm compensated for this loss of my final day.

Which until this point they're saying the "airline" won't compensate me.

I don't remember asking the airline to compensate me.

When EasyJet over booked/cancelled my flight home one year they then PAID for my DISNEY HOTEL AND PARK TICKETS for an extra two nights/days and then put me on the next available flight.

THAT is customer service.

NOT "The airline won't compensate you".

Seriously, just book DIY.

I know for the US it may seem daunting - the only reason I went through an agent.

But really, the internet can give you all the info you need to book DIY.

More on my Hays drama tomorrow.

Absolutely dreading having to connect in Amsterdam.

They actually automatically book you onto the next flight if you miss yours because the place is just a massive maze.

FFS.

There are also 4 flights they could have booked me on. The quickest taking approx 12 hours, while the slowest takes over 24.

If they've even dared put me on the 24...
